What to Expect When You Book Jake Narciso Studios for Your San Diego Wedding
May 19, 2026 · San Diego · Wedding Planning · Wedding Photography
Choosing a wedding photographer is about more than a portfolio—it's about trusting someone with the only record of one of the most important days of your life. Here's exactly what working with Jake Narciso Studios looks like, from your first message to the moment you hold your finished gallery.
1. The first conversation
Everything starts with a quick chat. We'll talk about your date, your venue, your vision, and whether you want photography, video, or both. There's no pressure—just an honest conversation to make sure we're the right fit. You can reach out here or view pricing first.
2. Locking in your date
Once you're ready, a signed agreement and a retainer reserve your date on our calendar. From there, we're your team—available for questions, timeline advice, and venue recommendations across La Jolla, Coronado, and the rest of San Diego.
3. Your engagement session
Most couples include an engagement session. It's the best way to get comfortable in front of the camera before the big day, and it gives us a feel for how you interact as a couple. Browse our engagement gallery for inspiration.
4. The wedding day
On the day itself, we work calmly and unobtrusively—blending candid, documentary moments with timeless, editorial portraits. If you've booked photo and video, it's one connected team that already knows how to stay out of each other's frames.
5. Your gallery and album
Most galleries are delivered within one and a half to three weeks (with sneak peeks sooner). You'll receive high-resolution, edited images in a private online gallery with full print rights—and the option to add a heirloom album. Have more questions? Our FAQ covers the details.
