A Stress-Free San Diego Wedding Day Photography Timeline

A relaxed wedding day starts with a good timeline. Here's a sample flow we build with our San Diego couples—adjust the hours to your day, and always add a little buffer.

Getting ready (1.5–2 hrs)

Details first—dress, rings, invitations—then candid moments with your people as you get ready. Good light near a window makes all the difference.

First look (30–45 min)

Optional, but we love it. A private first look calms the nerves, gives you a quiet moment together, and frees up time for portraits before the ceremony.

Ceremony (30–60 min)

We work discreetly with longer lenses so the moment stays yours. Confirm your officiant allows photography and where we can stand.

Family portraits (30 min)

A simple shot list keeps this quick and painless. We'll help you build one so no one gets missed.

Golden-hour couple portraits (20–30 min)

The best light of the day, usually the hour before sunset. Even a short break from the reception is worth it for these.

Reception

Toasts, first dance, and open dancing—we capture the energy as it happens. Build in buffer time between events so nothing feels rushed.
